Status:    Non exempt


Reports to:    Superintendent


Summary:    Provides physical labor as part of a crew or independently to complete project related tasks in accordance with NCC and OSHA safety regulations.


Essential Functions:    

•    Ensure that all Nicholson and OSHA safety regulations are followed and enforced; responsible for safety on site
•    Ensure that all Nicholson quality standards are met
•    Attend safety meetings and provide input as needed
•    Work as part of a crew and take direction from supervisors
•    Focus on daily and weekly goals for the project with a high level of attention to detail

Education & Training:    

•    High School Diploma or GED
•    OSHA 10-hour Training Course
•    First Aid/CPR


Experience:    

•    Minimum 1yr of construction industry experience


Knowledge and Abilities:    

•    Ability to work as part of a crew
•    Ability to focus on daily and weekly goals for the project
•    Knowledge of applicable OSHA and Nicholson safety rules

 

Physical Requirements:    

•    Reaching high and low, stooping, and bending continually
•    Lifting/carrying/moving up to 100 pounds continually
•    Able to travel per the company travel policy
•    Able to concentrate at a high degree in a busy and noisy construction environment
•    Able to work in all types of weather


Mental Requirements:  

•    Rational decision making ability
•    Attention to detail
•    Makes final decisions and assumes accountability for them
•    Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibility as needed
